“Prior to switching to Millennium, we had been shopping around for better processing rates. We changed companies just 2 months prior to talking with you. The new company saved us roughly $50 per month.
Since the downturn in the economy, we have seen an increase in the use of credit cards. To roughly figure our costs, I simply took the total amount of fees charged to our account and divided it by the total number of transactions. Our fees had always been around $3.25 – 3.75 per transaction, and we did not accept AMEX.
We now accept AMEX, MasterCard, VISA, and Discover. With Element, our total fees for the month of Feb. was $1,038.84, with a total of 566 transactions. This amounts to an average of only $1.83 per transaction!!! Conservatively, with our old merchant processing, that same 566 transactions would have cost us anywhere from a conservative $1698.00 to as high (in some instances) as $2348.90!! Our highest average with Element so far was Dec. at $2.03 per transaction.
With all the “bells & whistles” we have included with our software (Platinum edition) we are paying only $189 for the 1-year lease. Not only is our savings on our cc processing saving us money, the savings will more than pay for the program at year’s end when we switch from our lease to purchase!!
